We are a team of undergraduate students in electrical engineering at IIT Madras. Our shared goal is to make agricultural information more accessible, actionable, and useful for farmers through technology that complements local knowledge rather than replacing it.
The project combines work in machine learning, software engineering, agricultural data analysis, and field validation. From farmer interviews and dataset collection to model development and application design, the team works collaboratively across both technical and user-focused aspects of the project.
As a pilot initiative, AgriLens is currently focused on the Vellore region of Tamil Nadu, where we are building and testing a platform that integrates climate information, soil data, market trends, and agricultural advisories into a single decision-support system. Our approach emphasizes continuous learning, transparency, and direct engagement with farming communities throughout the development process.

We welcome conversations with farmers, researchers, agricultural institutions, KVKs, extension officers, student groups, and industry professionals who are interested in contributing insights, feedback, datasets, or field perspectives.
As AgriLens continues to evolve, partnerships and real-world feedback remain essential to ensuring that the platform addresses genuine agricultural needs. Whether you would like to share expertise, participate in pilot testing, collaborate on research, or learn more about the project, we would be glad to connect.
